Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. After the divorce of her parents her parents separated, she moved to Worthington, Ohio to live in Los Angeles. While struggling financially she landed her first role as the title character in the web-based video show Rachel's Room in 2001. The role she played of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television movie Murder in Greenwich in 2002 earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she was the main cast member for the first two seasons winning an Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. After leaving the show, Grace wanted to appear on film more frequently, having been cast as the opposite of Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) on Suburban Girl as well as The Jane Austen Book Club. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of the roles. Grace returned to her role as Shannon in Lost and the final episode. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth season of Californication. She plays Faith as a girl who is a muse for the stars and catches the eye to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family she's the younger sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager, she played small parts in the films of her father and co-starred with her older twin brother on Donnie Darko which is a famous cult film. Later, she was on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) of which earned the actress Golden Globe Award nods. Her fame grew for her role as Rachel Dawes, a superhero in The Dark Knight (2008) as well as a number of successful commercials she appeared in the year 2006. The film was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress due to her part as Rachel Dawes in Crazy Heart, (2009).
