MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Following that year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he sang a duet. the singer sang a duet 2021 with TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo has a musical background, both his parents and brother also play music. In his interviews, he's talked about playing music as an obligation. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, as well as piano and ukulele. While his initial career choice was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian convinced him to take singing classes with the help of a Cuban teacher and the end consequence of him discovering his gift as a performer changed the direction of his life.
